the message is there so that if someone accidentally calls your gear they hear the message play and know they called the wrong person that aside romelle, can i ask you for an honest opinion?
[Thace is busy dealing with the fallout of Shiro's auction directly after, but he's quick to send a message once he feels that's been settled.]
Good evening. I mentioned a tour of my garden, but if there's anything else you'd enjoy, I'd be happy to see about arranging it. That said, when would you wish for the get-together to happen?
Hello! [She smiled in relief.] I'm not really sure what goes on with dates. I know that, when Lance took Allura out on a date back home, they went to dinner and took a stroll in a park, but... that was a more romantic date situation, and not two friends doing something for charity. I'm not sure what would be appropriate.
Though, I do have to say, I'm glad to have someone I know having won the auction for me.
Well, if you don't mind Steven joining us, I'd be happy to cook a meal as well. I've been practicing. There are also games that Steven greatly enjoys playing that require three or more players. My goal is to spend some quiet time with a friend.
[Romelle shook her head.] No, I don't mind at all. He seems like a very nice person. [What little interaction she'd had with him so far, but Thace trusted him, and she trusted Thace, so that would be enough for now.] It sounds like it would a fun evening then. I'd like to do that very much.
No, but I'm not terribly far that I can't get there. [Since this conversation was happening before the riddle and musical charity event in Cerulean...] I could probably be there in a day or two.
I hope contacting you is alright, I wanted to say thank you for your thoughtful gifts. My pokemon and I were very happy to see members of our team represented in that form of media. Especially Toshiko who's asked me a few times to take them back out to see a Meowstic. It brought to my attention that they've probably seen other pokemon, but never themselves. I am currently rectifying that. The cookies were also a nice treat for us and they were enjoyed.
I am delighted that you and your Pokémon enjoyed the gifts! I was uncertain at first, but I asked about your Pokémon from some of the others who had been with you when we had to fly your friend in from the ship. I do hope he's doing better now, by the way.
You can call me Shoto. I think formalities in my direction aren't necessary after you helped save Bakugo's life. Another act I won't forget, either. He's doing much better and is up and around, being his usual self the last I saw. Kirishima and Midoriya are with him and he's in capable hands with the both of them.
[The smiling face is a welcome shift from anything formal like he asked, so it's a good thing.
As for Bakugo... One does not just simply help Bakugo. That's a whole other thing.]
Yes, it was. I was in Blackthorn when I saw the video. I'm glad you were there. Bakugo insists he would have been alright, but he would've insisted that if he were both feet into his grave with one finger hanging on. He's just that sort.
Sometime after the festival, Romelle will be visited by a delivery Pidgey, bearing an envelope and friendship bracelet woven in mint green and pale pink, not unlike the markings on their cheekbones.
Dear Romelle,
I woke up with this under my pillow last night. Keith tells me it’s a “friendship bracelet,” and I have a feeling this one belongs to you. Your courage and zest for life are truly inspiring, and I can't tell you how grateful I am to have met you.
[ In Yuzu's opinion, expeditions out into the wilderness of Hisui are best done with at least one other person with you, hence why she decided to go along with Romelle when she decided to explore the Coastlands. Obviously, supplies are important, but Yuzu couldn't deny that she was intrigued by the thought of seeing other Pokemon from the past...
Though that's ultimately not what actually ends up catching her eye. No, what catches her eye is... the adorable-looking Penguin Pokemon that she's just now spotted. Piplup... she's seen images of Piplups before, but never in-person... and with a good supply of Pokeballs at the ready.
The problem, though, is that while Yuzu and Romelle have some good covering behind a rock right now... this Piplup is out in an open area at the beach. Sneaking up is gonna be difficult, and she doesn't want to frighten the poor thing away... ]
We could try drawing one closer? I have some berries.
[Honestly, they were awfully adorable. But they were only here temporarily, and Romelle was nervous about catching too many, honestly. But she only knew that Yuzu had one so far, so helping her catch a Piplup? Sure! She was willing to do that.]
[ Maybe it would do Yuzu some good to share Romelle's nervousness, but well... surely they'll be able to bring their new friends back with them, right? She hopes so.
Still, in the meantime, a berry sounds like a good idea... if they can just draw the piplup closer so that they can sneak up behind them... ]
[ She glances over from behind the cover before tossing the Oran Berry a small distance. Not far, but just enough that the Piplup should hopefully take notice and start to waddle over.
Lo and behold, it works! The Piplup tilts it's head curiously at the sudden appearance of an Oran Berry, but it starts to cautiously trot over... which slowly speeds up until it's a full happy waddle towards the berry.
Meanwhile, Yuzu starts to walk around the cover, trying to take the opportunity to sneak up behind the small penguin... ]
[Romelle moved in the opposite direction, moving to flank the small Piplup in order to help out if Yuzu ended up needing back up. One thing Romelle had learned here was that the Pokémon in the wild were either much more skittish or much more aggressive than the ones back in more modern times for this world. Many were very quick to attack while others were very quick to run away... even disappear! And, well, if Yuzu wanted to be able to safely catch a Piplup, they'd need to be careful.]
[ So far... so good... the Piplup starts to happily feast on the berry, blissfully unaware of the two girls sneaking up on it... and finally, as Yuzu finds herself in a good position to throw the ball...! ]
Hn...!
[ She chucks it, the Pokeball soaring through the air in a graceful arc, a spin put on it by Yuzu, and...! ]
Lup...!?
[ Collides perfectly with the small penguin, catching them off-guard and being absorbed into the wooden ball, which falls onto the sand and starts to wobble... ]
[Ooooh the suspense! Romelle held her breath, watching, waiting... it rocked again. These old wooden Pokéballs weren't as solid and reliable as the newer ones back in the present. She clasped her hands over her mouth as if breathing would make it pop open...]

that aside
romelle, can i ask you for an honest opinion?
Re: text;
That makes sense. Thank you, Keith.
Alright. What do you need an opinion about?
Re: text;
i need you to promise that you're not gonna bring this up to pidge or lance or anyone else ok?

Of course. Your secret is safe with me.

alright.
so do you think i'm emo?
there isn't a right or wrong answer to that, i just want to know.

Do I think you're emo?

[Thace pauses, and then chuckles.] I suppose I should also ask if you're near Goldenrod.

I'm glad he's doing better. It was very scary for a moment. It's good to know he has friends who can help him.

I think I know the type. There are a few here from my world who are very similar.
Delivery, June 26

Here. Try throwing this, but not too far. It should lure one over.
